I am not a product junkie, at all. I have been using the same products pretty much since I big chopped in 2009! I like what I like… and I’m lazy. Trying new product isn’t as much about the money, although it can get expensive, as it is about the time. If a product doesn’t work and I hate the outcome, who is going to detangle, wash, and style all this hair again? WHO? Not me, ain’t nobody got time for that.
But when TheManeChoice sends you their new product line, the Ancient Egyptian Anti-Breakage & Repair Antidote Collection, you make time because the rave reviews are all true!
I was super excited to try a wash and go with all this magic!
I’m one of those people who thinks the more lather, the better! So, it threw me when this shampoo didn’t suds up. But our shampoo doesn’t need to lather to be good. Suds are actually created to psychologically appease us! This shampoo was incredibly light, and was so good that I was able to start detangling with my denman brush.
I don’t know what Mane Choice CEO Courtney Adeleye is putting in the conditioner, but it made my hair like butter! I can’t say enough about how much I loved this conditioner and how a little bit actually went a long way.
I used the 3-in-1 as my leave in because my hair was so easy to detangle from just using the shampoo and magic conditioner! It has great slip, and left my hair light and soft.
I used this oil just for my scalp and I’m obsessed. I have been massaging my scalp with Jamaican black castor oil, for the past 2 years and have really seen results in regards to stronger hair, growth, and retention, but my scalp is always dry, itchy, and flaky by the end of the week. I stopped using product to see if the flakes were a result of build up, but after using The Mane Choice Nourishing Growth Oil one time, I see that it wasn’t the product, but I was using the wrong oil on my scalp!
I can visibly see my scalp healing in the spots that are the most irritated (mostly where my hair is parted) and the flaking has drastically reduced.
I used the repair antidote oil on the rest of my hair and to seal my ends. I have also been sealing my ends with JBCO for the past 2 years, and have noticed less breakage, retention, and more hydrated hair. The Mane Choice repair oil is much lighter and smells much better than JBCO. My hair also took less time to dry, which is always a plus.
Once I got going, I realized that I didn’t have a styler by The Mane Choice, so I improvised and used my go to styler, SM Curly Smoothie. I love this styler bc its light and a little goes a long way. It leaves my curls soft, manageable, and not overly defined.
Tip! To create more volume in my wash and go, I diffuse my hair from wet to damp, and then I whip it back and forth… literally!
I haven’t turned into a product junkie by any means, but I know that I won’t go another seven years before trying new products either. Cool weather is around the corner and I can’t wait to try their thermal defense and protection lines! You can find The Mane Choice products online and in Target, Sally’s and now CVS!
Thanks Mane Choice!
