You may not have noticed, but our Selah is a big baby!
She is 6 months and coming in around 25lbs + 28 inches! And while nothing is as sweet as a chubby baby, our big baby has caused some not so sweet situations… like outgrowing necessities that usually last until a baby is one year old. Selah has quickly outgrown her car seat, her Rock’n Play, and her Snoo bassinet that was supposed to last until at least 6 months!

Like many other parents of 6 month olds, we just aren’t ready to move Selah to her big girl crib yet. Her nursery is on the second floor and she is still waking for night feedings. Guess who is going up and down those stairs all night…

So, we were on the search for a sleeper that could accommodate her big baby size, but was small enough to fit in the baby nook of our bedroom. Enter, the Alma mini crib by Bloom*.
I fell in love with the sweet Alma as soon as I saw it. It has 2 mattress heights so it goes up to 12 months while a traditional bassinet only takes you to around 4-6 months. Its made of 100% solid wood, no MDF, and the finishes are water-based + low VOC baby-safe, so parents can feel good about putting their little ones in it. It’s the ultimate bed side solution for big babies, tiny spaces, or a combination of the two! And, it’s super easy to put together.
I’m so happy + relieved to have found an option that is not only safe + practical, but chic! You know ya girl was not compromising on style. The Alma would fit in perfect with any traditional or modern decor!
Another cool feature is that it’s on wheels, so it’s easy to move from room to room or into a new space.
Nap time is always a work in progress at the Raymer house…
But, nights have been successful and if this helps at least one other #MomOfBigBaby, my work here is done. We think Selah likes her Alma mini crib too…
Thank you Bloom for saving us, and sending the Alma. We love it!

Great read and cute, chic crib option!
Kenya!!! I was talking to my coworker about your snoo you had for sale (not sure if it’s still for sale), but she wanted to know how you like it?! She also likes to think that her baby is gonna look like Selah ( 😊)
It’s sold that day but I loved it! Selah just outgrew it really fast + that sucked!!!
